Not to be considered as a synonym of Peperomia inaequalifolia as was published by Pino (2010). Peperomia inaequalifolia is a rather delicate species, showing a distinct leaf dimorphism (as expressed by its specific epithet). Terminal leaves are markedly oblong whereas basal leaves are elliptic, distinctly smaller and succulent. Inflorescences are slender. Leaves of Peperomia galapagensis are uniform in shape, size and succulence along the entire stem. Young leaves are light green whereas older ones tend to become yellow, but both exhibit a distinct red margin. Inflorescences are short and rather thick. P. galapagensis is endemic to the Galapagos Islands whereas P. inaequalifolia has a wide distribution throughout Ecuador and Peru [Mathieu, 2016, pers. comm.]. Compare Peperomia galapagensis with Peperomia inaequalifolia.
